The first would have to be Alice in wonderland: The makeup in this movie is outstanding! The MUA is Valli O'Reilly. She recived an Academy Award for her work on Alice in Wonderland.

Canadian born Valli O'Reilly had not intended to work in the film business. Instead, she planned on applying her Fine Arts Degree to a career in the art world. A natural talent, Valli began doing makeup with friends for new york TV commercials and fashion to earn extra money and eventually moved to Los Angeles  where she worked on artistic low-budget independent films.
Valli is now requested by many of the industry's most esteemed directors, actors and costume designers to work on films all over the world.
I love the boldness and color of the makeup in this movie it transports you to a different world, and such great creativity from Valli O'Reilly.
